The hotel has a mix of pros and cons. The rooms are in excellent condition overall, but some may lack air-conditioning and have an odd odor from a fumigating agent. The service is friendly, though there was a mix-up with our rooms. The location is stunning with beautiful landscaping, but the dining costs can be steep. The hotel offers some great facilities to enjoy.

The hotel offers spacious rooms furnished almost like a house with antique Mexican furniture, creating an authentic decor. However, the rooms are poorly equipped and quite far from the main building, making late-night walks to them challenging.

Rooms

The rooms were spacious and authentically decorated but poorly equipped.
Service
6.0
The service at the hotel was friendly, but improvements could be made.
Location
8.0
The location of the hotel is stunning, surrounded by stone aqueduct pillars and fountains, with picturesque views of ducks, peacocks, and other fowl roaming freely. However, be prepared for limited dining alternatives in the area.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience offered plenty of choices of traditional Mexican fare and had chefs cooking fresh meats on the BBQ. However, room for improvement in service quality.
Facilities

The facilities were satisfactory but can be enhanced to improve the overall guest experience.

The hotel is located just a 5-minute drive from the lake and is around 1 hour from Cuernavaca and 2 hours from Mexico City. The rooms are pretty good, especially those in the hacienda and some in the back yard where employees used to live. However, they lack air conditioning and have an odd odor from fumigating agents. The location is awe-inspiring, with magnificent stone aqueduct pillars and fountains, but it can be dark in some areas. Dining options are pricey and not of the best quality, although fresh sushi is available.

Rooms
7.0
I found the rooms in the hacienda and some in the back yard quite comfortable.
Service
5.0
The service, especially in the hacienda and among the rest of the staff, was lacking in professionalism and helpfulness. I wasn't informed about activities or dining options around the lake or Tequesquitengo.
Location
8.0
The location is stunning, with impressive stone aqueduct pillars and buildings of the 'Hacienda Vista Hermosa'. However, it can be dark in certain areas. Be prepared for a pricey cab ride from Mexico City.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was expensive, and the quality was not up to par. The weekend special was delicious, but overpriced at $25 USD.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities at the hotel were average. It lacked some key amenities and didn't provide good value for money.
Great architecture
Poor service
